Drill Holes Larger Than 1/4 Inch

I purchased one of your tools in Phoenix at the symposium this summer. Excellent tool. Question for you. I was wanting to drill some holes with it and only have two sized collets. Is there a 3/8 inch drill chuck made that fits into a standard collet?

Answer: A straight sided router bit 3/8 inch in diameter with a 1/4 inch shaft should work. You can also purchase drill bits with 1/4 inch shanks with larger drill bits.

The major drills, MasterCarver, Foredom and Wecheer come with 1/4 collets.

Note: Matt is drilling holes around the circumference of his turning that he will fill with colored inlay material.
